The Guest Service Agent is focused on providing efficient service and creating memorable experiences by making connections with all of our guests. In this position, you will have a direct impact on the overall experience of our hotel guests and be responsible for ensuring 100% satisfaction from the moment guests arrive at the hotel until they check out.
Each associate is expected to carry out, within their capabilities, all reasonable requests by management.
Welcome all guests’ to the hotel and attempt to meet all special requests.
Resolve all guest challenges before they leave the hotel.
Ownership of cash handling.
Thank all guests’ for choosing our hotel upon arrival and departure.
Answer a 6 line phone console.
Delegate all guest requests to the appropriate departments.
Handle all Room Service orders.
Ensure the delivery of all guest facsimiles, messages and wake-up calls.
Keep the lobby, front desk and back office clean and orderly.
Ensure the safe and efficient delivery of hotel guest property to their rooms or to the appropriate location.
Work in accordance with safe work practices and job procedures
Report any accidents or deficiencies immediately
Other duties as required
High School diploma required
Previous hotel experience preferred
University Degree/College Diploma preferred
Intermediate computer knowledge
Previous experience with a property management system
Knowledge of Resort facilities
Knowledge of local service and attractions
Dynamic and outgoing personality
Superior customer service skills
Good communication skills in English (verbal, written and spoken)
Lifting/carrying/pulling up to 50 lbs.
Standing/sitting for long periods of time.
Pushing, pulling, bending and reaching.
Associates may be required to work different shifts and schedules to accommodate the changing demand of business, including weekends and Holidays.
