  • Overview

    A structured Director of Food & Beverage (DFB) role is critical to the success of the Hotel at River Cree Resort & Casino. The primary purpose of the DFB is to direct and lead the Food & Beverage team to ensure a high consistency of product and service to our guests at all times.

    Responsibilities

    • Actively promotes an environment conducive to high quality customer service and employee relations by being a positive leadership example.
    • Provide overall direction, coordination, and ongoing evaluation of operations.
    • Budgetary, projections, and cost control skills to be applied to the daily operations of the Hotel Food and Beverage Departments.
    • Over sees the following: Hotel Kitchen, In Room Dining, Banquets, Kitchen Buffet Bistro and Lobby Lounge.
    • Assist Managers with the departmental hiring, training and evaluation.
    • Work with Sales and Marketing team to promote Hotel’s Food and Beverage outlets.
    • Acquire and maintain outstanding working relationships with all associates, customers and vendors of the resort.
    • Create, manage and implement departmental policies & procedures.
    • Ensure maintenance of safety and sanitation standards and policies.
    • Ensuring staff are Pro Serve certified.
    • Understand security requirements.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Director of Food and Beverage in a hotel atmosphere.
    • Extensive knowledge of Restaurant, Bar/Lounge, and Kitchen operational procedures.
    • Knowledge of menu composition, food preparation and basic food handling and sanitation standards.
    • Knowledge of liquor control procedures.
