  • Overview

    Reporting to the Director of Player Development, the Slot Host will ensure they promote and maintain the utmost integrity and the highest caliber of customer service and respect to all the guests, associates, and AGLC personnel. Personalized customer service is the main focus of a Slot Host.




    • Consistently promote a positive, professional image of the property ensuring the guest is being provided with superior customer service
    • Serve as the first contact for a guest
    • Consistently demonstrate positive, effective communication skills and interaction with all levels of staff and Management
    • Work well in a progressive, team-oriented environment
    • Interact with customers to provide and process information with comping program
    • Monitor, record, and communicate relevant VIP / frequent player activities
    • Adhering to policies and procedures outlined on the slot floor and practicing operational efficiencies
    • Maintains high visibility on the gaming floor to build and maintain relationships with frequent players
    • Making the customer feel pampered, elite and eager to return to the facility is the main duty of the position
    • The Slot Host role will maintain good relations with all guests and staff of all levels of the Resort upholding a team work experience
    • Ensuring all slot operations are in compliance with AGLC terms and conditions
    • Monitor and report risk and safety concerns to ensure a safe environment for both associates and guests
    • Support and communicate with all associates on the casino gaming floor
    • Daily execution of assigned operational goals and objectives
    • Ability to grasp instructions and adjust to changing conditions
    • A passion for excellent service and the organization’s vision with a commitment to learning what our customers' needs and wants are
    • Encourage mutual accountability in service and inspiring others
    • Willingness to discover opportunities to exceed the customer's expectations
    • When required – assist in ensuring the slot floor meets desired presentation for our guests, sections are clean and tidy throughout hours of operation.
    • Practices operational efficiencies
    • Actively promote and enroll guests into the casino’s Player’s Club program
    • Maintain high visibility on the gaming floor to build and sustain relationships with frequent players
    • The Slot Host follows the casino's procedures to resolve customer complaints and issues resolving within their means and in a manner that goes beyond what is expected
    • A Slot Host is required to retain and communicate constantly changing information about shows and attractions for which they may be required to obtain tickets for guests.
    • Excel in the Resorts Circle of Service Program
    • Assist in planning and executing slot host casino parties and events.
    • Informs guests of special events coming to the casino via e-mail, phone calls, and establishing a word of mouth network.
    • Assist in bridging both casino rules & AGLC T&Cs with players so that their time at River Cree will be an enjoyable experience
    • Works with appropriate management to become knowledgeable on new changes to policy, procedure, or AGLC guidelines.
    • Any other duties as required


    • High School Diploma an asset 
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Basic math (counting currency)
    • Slot experience
    • Cash handling is a definite asset
    • Gaming Experiance






    Responsibility of maintaining assigned area and assisting guest needs. The schedule for this position may vary and would require the ability to work shift work, late nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays. The Slot Host will be required to walk for long period of time.


    • Adheres to all Resort Policies and Procedures.
    • Consistently reports to work on time and prepared to perform the duties of the position.
    • Acts as a role model within and outside the Resort.
    • Maintains a positive and respectful attitude.
    • Communicates regularly with direct supervisor about department issues.
    • Is flexible and willing to perform duties as workload necessitates.
