The Senior Accountant will work closely with the Controller, other Accounting Team members and all other Casino and Resort personnel. The interaction between all departments must demonstrate a positive and professional attitude.
Verify the gaming operations on a daily basis with respect to AGLC & resort requirements.
Liaise with AGLC to provide reports and jackpot slips in a timely manner.
Verify all transactions from the cage processed through the Casino Insight program.
Review the reconciliation of tournament paperwork to ensure liabilities are recorded; operator’s share and charity distributions are accurate.
Completion of gaming operations daily activity reports.
Verify and post all gaming transactions to the General Ledger.
Responsible for reconciling of operational accounts including inventory.
Food and Beverage cost analysis.
Play an active role in month end inventory counts.
Monthly reconciliation of Cost of Goods Sold.
Daily revenue recording of Ticket Revenue.
Preparation of Legal Entity GST Return.
Preparation and filing of Non-Resident Withholding/license fees to the relevant regulatory bodies.
Capital assets tracking.
General ledger analysis and working papers support.
Ensure compliance with all charity and gaming regulatory reporting.
Maintain records in compliance with current legal requirements.
Providing auditors with back up on a timely basis.
Attend any training that is required and approved by Management.
Adhere to Resort Health and Safety Policies at all times.
Any other duties as required by Management.
Prior accounts payable and general ledger analysis experience is required.
Minimum of 3-5 years related work experience.
Degree or diploma required and should be working towards an accounting designation.
Experience within the hospitality or gaming industry an asset.
