  • Overview

    The primary role of the Health & Safety Program Advisor (HSPA) is to ensure that the resort is compliant with all Alberta Occupational Health & Safety legislation. The HSPA will be responsible for implementation, execution and maintenance of the Resort’s Health & Safety Program.


    • Implement, execute and maintain the Resort’s Health & Safety Program
    • Leadership and supervision of the Health & Safety Committee to ensure they are effective and meeting established objectives.
    • Provide support to all departments at River Cree to ensure they are in compliance with all legislative requirements.
    • Act as the first point of contact for all OH & S regulations and best practices.
    • Continuously evaluate the safety program, tools available, the effectiveness of meetings, associate education and training programs, processes and make recommendations for improvement.
    • Create a culture of open communication, collaboration and risk management.


    • Post-secondary education in an Occupational Health & Safety discipline
    • CRSP (Canadian Registered Safety Professional) certification is required
    • At least five (5) years as a Health & Safety Program Advisor in an organization of 700 plus associates preferably in a hospitality environment
    • Extensive knowledge of Alberta Occupational Health & Safety Legislation
    • Strong computer skills
    • Excellent presentation skills
    • Excellent leadership, management, relationship building and communication skills.

    The incumbent will normally work standard weekday hours but as a Manager, is expected to be available for evening or weekend meetings, or travel, if required.
