Overview

The primary purpose of the Fat Burger Cashier is to serve customers and ensure work area is neat and clean.

Responsibilities

  • Take customer’s orders on counter;
  • Receive and process payment for foods and beverages and help customers with good customer service skills;
  • Serve customers as quickly and efficiently as possible;
  • Deliver orders to kitchen, picks up and serves food when it is ready;
  • Portion, wrap food items; clear away used dishes and clean work areas, utensils and cooking surfaces;
  • Put together orders such as sandwiches, hamburgers, salads, side orders, milkshakes, specialty beverages, ice cream shakes, etc.
  • Does overlap with some of the responsibilities of the Grill cook. Help grill cook in making burgers, sandwiches, side orders and drinks. 
  • Put together customer’s orders if they want to make Big Fat deals or just Signature Burgers and sandwiches with drinks;
  • Add relishes and garnishes to food orders from a wide selection of toppings including cheese, bacon, fried egg and chili to according to customers instructions;
  • Stock refrigerators and keep records of quantities of food used and need to order.
  • Remove trash and wash kitchen garbage containers, and unpack and stock supplies in the proper storage area;
  • Balance receipts and payments in cash registers.
  • Ensures compliance with all Resort policies, standards and procedures.
  • To look out for the safety of yourself, co-workers and to follow all Health and Safety requirements in the workplace.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not necessary
  • AGLC- ProServe/Protect preferred
  • Mathematic Skills: Basic math is needed to handle cash and balance daily float.
  • Customer Service Skills: Need proper customer service skills as this position is in direction contact with the customers.
  • Communication Skills: Reading, writing, speaking, and listening are important for this position to effectively communicate with customers. Must be able to stand/walk for prolonged periods of time
  • Regular lifting of 20lbs, 30lbs and up to 50lbs is required

The Schedule for this position may vary and would require the ability to work shift work, late nights, weekends and holidays.
