Overview

The primary purpose of the Lobby Lounge Attendant is to server our guests and to maintain the highest possible guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Each associate is expected to carry out, within their capabilities, all reasonable requests by management.
  • Know and follow all company and local standard policies and procedures.
  • Ability to make all specialty coffees; including iced drinks, and alcoholic coffees.
  • Serve beverages to customers.
  • Serve muffins, sandwiches, pastries and drinks.
  • Basic inventory of all bottled beverages, pastries and supplies
  • Knowledge of all drinks and pastries that we offer and hours of operations.
  • Participate in all required departmental meeting/training provided by the hotel.
  • Attend daily pre-shift/daily stand up meeting.
  • Know and check your station (assigned area) to ensure all settings are clean, neat and in accordance with the restaurant standard.
  • Balance cash float at the close of shift and deposit sales for the day.
  • Ensure to follow proper cash handling procedures according to hotel
  • Must be bondable.
  • Answer the phone Lobby Lounge phone.
  • Acknowledge and respond to all guests’ requests and complaints. You are empowered to act on any guest request or complaint if you feel competent to do so.  All complaints should be passed to the supervisor on duty for follow up.
  • Ensure side table is always stocked, neat & tidy.
  • Maintain your work area and back areas in a clean and well-organized manner.
  • Any guest items left must be returned to the guest or given to Housekeeping.
  • Report to Restaurant Supervisor/Manager at end of the shift.
  • To look out for the safety of yourself, co-workers and to follow all Health and Safety requirements in the workplace.
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • No prior barista experience required, although preferred.
  • Previous guest/customer service experience required
  • Proven knowledge of proper customer service etiquette.
  • AGLC ProServe and/or ProTect is an asset
  • Good health and personal hygiene.
  • Has an interest in learning about food and beverage service.
  • Has a cheerful, positive attitude.
  • Able to work well in a team environment.
  • Good at dealing with stressful situations.
  • Must have working knowledge of the English language (verbal, written, reading)

The Schedule for this position may vary and would require the ability to work shift work, late nights, weekends and holidays.
